From 29 September to 1 October, Leitat took part in Biospain 2026 in Bilbao, bringing together its expertise in biotechnology, life sciences and MedTech with companies, researchers, investors and other professionals from the sector.
During the event, the Leitat team presented its capabilities in areas including preclinical drug development, antibodies, organoids and organ-on-chip technologies, biomarker validation and medical technologies. The team also shared ongoing work through initiatives such as Klebsiella Project, iDIABETES and PANACEA, showcasing how applied research can contribute to the development and validation of new solutions for the life sciences sector.
The event was also an opportunity to strengthen existing relationships and explore new collaborations across the biotechnology ecosystem. Leitat’s participation and its work in medical technologies were also highlighted by AENOR, following the centre’s ISO 13485 certification for the design and development of medical devices.
Biospain 2026 provided a valuable meeting point to exchange ideas, identify new opportunities and continue building connections across the sector.
