X-SEED Consortium Meeting at DTU: Advancing Hydrogen Innovation Through Collaboration

The partners of the X-SEED Project recently gathered at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) in Copenhagen for a productive consortium meeting focused on reviewing project progress, strengthening collaboration, and defining the next steps towards the development of advanced hydrogen technologies.

The meeting brought together representatives from across the consortium to discuss the latest achievements and ongoing activities within the project. Throughout the sessions, partners aligned efforts on several of the project’s most critical work packages, with a particular focus on the upscaling of the electrolyser, a key step towards bringing innovative hydrogen solutions closer to industrial implementation.

Driving Innovation Across Key Technological Areas

A significant part of the meeting was dedicated to exploring the technological pillars that underpin the X-SEED project. Consortium partners shared updates, results, and insights covering a wide range of activities, including:

  • Catalyst development
  • Electrolyser design and optimisation
  • Advanced manufacturing approaches
  • Materials and component characterisation
  • Performance assessment and validation

These technical discussions provided an opportunity to exchange knowledge, identify synergies between work packages, and ensure strong alignment among partners working towards common objectives.

Strengthening Collaboration for Project Success

Beyond the technical developments, the consortium meeting served as an important platform to reinforce collaboration and coordination across the project. The productive exchanges highlighted the collective commitment of all partners to accelerating innovation in hydrogen technologies and contributing to Europe’s clean energy transition.

The agenda also addressed several cross-cutting activities that are essential for maximising the project’s impact, including:

  • Dissemination of project results
  • Communication and stakeholder engagement
  • Exploitation strategies and market uptake
  • Future collaboration opportunities

These discussions will support the effective transfer of knowledge generated within the project and help ensure that X-SEED’s innovations can reach relevant industrial and societal stakeholders.

Leitat’s Commitment to Sustainable Energy Technologies

As a partner in the X-SEED project, Leitat continues to contribute its expertise to the development and validation of innovative technologies aimed at enhancing the efficiency, scalability, and sustainability of hydrogen production systems.

The consortium would like to express its gratitude to DTU – Technical University of Denmark for hosting the meeting and for its excellent organisation and hospitality throughout the event.

By bringing together leading research institutions, technology developers, and industrial partners, X-SEED continues to make significant progress towards advancing next-generation hydrogen technologies and supporting a more sustainable energy future.
