SESA project holds its M30 General Assembly online to align final implementation steps

The consortium of SESA – Smart Energy Solutions for Africa, coordinated by Leitat Technological Center and composed of 30 partners, gathered online on 25th November 2024 for the project’s third General Assembly.

The meeting brought together consortium partners and Advisory Board members to evaluate progress, extract lessons from implementation, and shape the final phase of the initiative. It started with an external assessment that highlighted the importance of replicability, sustainability, and an enhanced outreach strategy via the SESA Toolbox.

The second part focused on reviewing key achievements in areas such as capacity building, co-development of innovations, business incubation, and cross-country knowledge exchange. Notable highlights included progress in clean energy implementation across five living labs, using tailored approaches that improve adoption, community engagement, and long-term sustainability.

Training efforts, the successful deployment of the e-learning platform, and peer exchanges were also spotlighted, while challenges such as affordability, regulatory frameworks, and stakeholder engagement were openly discussed.

Looking forward, partners aligned on completing policy roadmaps, improving data-driven impact measurement, and ensuring that tested solutions attract investment and foster entrepreneurship in diverse African contexts.

This session was held online.
