The PREDICTFTD consortium advances early diagnosis of Frontotemporal Dementia

Recently, the PREDICTFTD consortium gathered in Desenzano del Garda (Italy) for a two-day meeting hosted by the University of Verona.

The meeting provided an opportunity to review progress across all work packages and align on upcoming milestones. The agenda also included scientific keynotes on the latest developments in Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD) and innovative olfactory sampling approaches, fostering scientific exchange and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Leitat was represented by Mònica Maijó Ferré and Noemi De Luna Salvà from the Health and Biomedicine Department, who actively contributed to discussions on biomarker validation activities within WP3, supporting the development of robust and reliable diagnostic solutions.

Beyond the technical sessions, the meeting reinforced collaboration among partners and advanced a shared goal: the development of a rapid and early diagnostic tool for FTD, ultimately improving clinical outcomes for patients.
