On 16-17th September, the IN-ARMOR consortium gathered in Madrid to review scientific, technical, and strategic progress towards innovative solutions against antimicrobial resistance (AMR). During this 4th General Consortium Meeting, discussions covered advances in innate immunity inducers, nanoformulations, preclinical studies, regulatory and HTA activities. Additionally, all advances on dissemination, exploitation, business and project management were covered as well. Leitat was represented in person by Jorge Galino and Sergi Bayod from the Drug Discovery group, within the Health and Biomedicine team.
The meeting included focused technical workshops to support lead compound selection, a joint strategic session to maximise the project’s scientific, economic, and societal impact, and the 14th Management Board Meeting, where key priorities for the final phase of the project were defined. Participants concluded the event with a visit to the Microbiology Department at Hospital Universitario Ramón y Cajal, hosted by the partners Servicio Madrileño de Salud (SERMAS) and Instituto Ramón y Cajal de Investigación Sanitaria (IRYCIS).
The consortium closed the meeting with a shared commitment to advancing the final phase of IN-ARMOR, reinforcing collaboration across disciplines and preparing for the project’s final dissemination and exploitation activities throughout the last stretch of the project.
