Last week, researchers from Leitat, Ainhoa Gaudes and Guillermo Ortiz Secoíz, presented groundbreaking technologies in Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) and Advanced Oxidation Processes (AOP) during the Universwater project. These solutions are essential for effectively removing Contaminants of Emerging Concern (CECs), pathogenic bacteria, and resistant genes from water, thereby preventing their entry into the food chain through irrigation.
Exploring Cutting-Edge Facilities and Technologies
The event provided a fantastic opportunity to explore Tyndall’s state-of-the-art technologies and facilities, along with visits to TEAGASC’s experimental dairy farm and NUI Galway’s research advancements. This collaboration showcases the project’s commitment to innovative approaches in enhancing water quality for agricultural practices.
