We are pleased to announce the launch of the RecAL project, an ambitious initiative funded by Horizon Europe that focuses on a crucial topic: recycling aluminium in the European Union.
Recycling aluminium from end-of-life (EoL) products and production scraps uses only 5% of the energy required compared to primary aluminium production. This not only represents a significant opportunity for sustainability but is also essential for harnessing global decarbonisation potential and meeting the goals of the European Green Deal.
This project aims to innovate processes and technologies that facilitate efficient aluminium recycling, thereby contributing to a more sustainable future.
