Launching the SOLSTICE Project: Pioneering Sustainable Growth in the Textile Industry

On May 28th, Leitat proudly launched the SOLSTICE project, an ambitious initiative aimed at promoting sustainable growth in the textile industry. This project is designed to enhance recycling efforts, ensure feedstock traceability through the Digital Product Passport, and provide critical data to decision-makers, positioning SOLSTICE to make a significant impact in the sector.

A Comprehensive Approach to Sustainability

Led by the innovative Axel’One platform in France, this EU-wide consortium encompasses the entire textile and plastics value chain. Over the next 42 months, partners will work together to advance climate-neutral and circular economy practices within the textile sector. The project adopts a holistic approach to waste prevention, guided by the 5R strategy: Reject/Reduce, Reuse, Repair, Repurpose, and Recycle.

Real-World Demonstrations and Collaborative Partnerships

SOLSTICE will implement and refine these solutions through real-world demonstrations across key locations, including Grenoble, Berlin, Prato, and Catalonia. The project emphasizes partnerships with businesses and clusters, aiming to unlock new opportunities and accelerate the adoption of innovative circular economy solutions.

Stay tuned for updates as SOLSTICE embarks on this exciting journey toward a more sustainable textile industry!
