ONCOSOMIX

Abstact:

ONCOSOMIX is driving a new generation of cancer diagnostics through the development of a rapid, non-invasive test for the early detection of lung cancer. Its approach is based on the analysis of biomarkers found in tumour-derived extracellular vesicles, enabling key information to be obtained from a biological sample through a simple procedure.

The project combines rapid test-based immunoassay technology, advanced biosensors and artificial intelligence to analyse multiple biomarkers simultaneously and provide a quantitative prediction of lung cancer risk with high accuracy.

ONCOSOMIX brings together Linkcare, Leitat and IVO, combining complementary expertise in device design, biosensor development and clinical validation using real patient samples. This multidisciplinary approach ensures a solution focused on both technological innovation and clinical application.

The project’s objective is to provide an alternative to current methods, such as computed tomography, by offering a more accessible, faster and more cost-effective screening solution. This will facilitate early-stage detection, reduce healthcare costs and significantly improve patient survival.
