On 9–10 June, the partners of the ACTFAST project gathered in Szarvas, Hungary, for the second Consortium Meeting, hosted by project partner NACEE.
The meeting brought together representatives from the consortium to review the progress achieved across the different work packages, discuss the status of ongoing tasks and deliverables, and coordinate the next steps of the project.
Leitat was represented by Daniel Checa. As leader of Work Package 6 (WP6), focused on Sustainability and Circularity Assessment, Leitat presented the first results of the project’s Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). During the meeting, the team also worked closely with the other partners to advance the application of the LCA methodology across the different aquaculture systems addressed by ACTFAST, including delta-based, open-water and land-based production systems.
The consortium meeting provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen collaboration among partners and ensure continued progress towards the project’s objective of promoting more sustainable and circular aquaculture practices through innovative solutions.
