We are thrilled to announce the successful Kick-Off Meeting of the GeoS-TECHIS project, held on 17-18 October 2024 in Padua, Italy. This ground-breaking project, coordinated by EnginSoft Italy and funded by the Horizon Europe programme, aims to make significant strides in thermal energy storage and decarbonisation through geothermal energy.
The Galician Technological Institute (ITG) leads the project’s technical and scientific developments. At Leitat, we are proud to be a key partner in this initiative, contributing our expertise in Thermal Energy Storage, Heat Transfer Fluids, Sustainability, and Life Cycle Assessment. Representing Leitat at the Kick-Off Meeting were Gabriela Macías Benalcázar and Gerard Jorba Juez, who brought their extensive knowledge and commitment to the consortium.
A cultural highlight of the meeting was a visit to Padua’s renowned Scrovegni Chapel, adding a touch of art and history to this international gathering.
This marks another step forward in building a sustainable, carbon-free future.
