The HelloAI Summer School will take place in various places in Europe in June: in Budapest (4-6 June), in Stockholm (11 – 13 June), and Barcelona (18 – 21 June). This ten-day course will cover biodesign thinking, team collaboration, clinical need identification, basic theoretical and practical use of AI, and entrepreneurship.
Today, a perfect storm of economic, demographic, technological, and environmental factors has ignited the digital revolution in healthcare. The ubiquity of AI means we need to get better at cooperating with it. The point is not to compete but to collaborate. Half of the jobs will be affected by some form and to some degree by digital transformation.
This summer school will provide theoretical and practical knowledge regarding various aspects of healthcare challenges, demands, the future of work, and business opportunities. Our primary target audience is university students, as we think they must be prepared for the upcoming wider implementation of artificial intelligence. We expect to see improvements in their skills in the following areas: identification of clinical user needs, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial attitude. In the short term, we are going to be an eye-opener of how powerful artificial intelligence solutions can be, what the basics of available tech approaches are, how different clinical needs are present in the world (Eastern Europe vs. Western Europe), and what data privacy and ethical considerations need to be taken care of.
Target participants: University students from medical and engineering faculties are the primary target audience of this summer school. However, we will raise awareness among practising healthcare professionals as they can be ambassadors of innovative technologies.
HelloAI Summer School is funded by EIT Health, organized by GE Healthcare, KTH, and LEITAT.
