The Vanguard Initiative is an initiative to coordinate the smart specialization strategy of regions for manufacturing within Europe. Its member, the region of Saxony (Germany), invites you to the conference “Vanguard Initiative – New Business Opportunities for European Industry” to give SMEs the opportunity to learn about the potential benefits the Vanguard Initiative projects offer and to network with potential partners. Alongside talks regarding strategies to involve businesses in Vanguard projects, participants will visit advanced regional industries. Link to the programme. The German region of Saxony will host the conference “Vanguard Initiative – New Business Opportunities for European Industry” in Chemnitz and Leipzig on the 27th of October. The invitation is extended to stakeholders from all regions participating in the Vanguard Initiative. The conference is part of the Vanguard Initiative’s efforts to attract more businesses, particularly SMEs, to join its pilot projects. It aims to provide SMEs with an opportunity to learn about the business opportunities offered by these projects. Participants will also have the chance to connect with potential partners from other Vanguard regions, including enterprises, research institutions, and clusters.
In addition to discussions about the Vanguard Initiative’s links to the business sector, the conference will be preceded by a visit to the Porsche factory in Leipzig on the 26th of October. This visit will enable participants to witness the application of highly advanced production technologies firsthand.
