On 3 February 2026, Leitat, as coordinator of the European project X-SEED, will organise the 2nd X-SEED Workshop focused on high-pressure hydrogen production and its industrial applications. The event will take place in a hybrid format, hosted at Snam’s facilities in Milan, with online access via Microsoft Teams.
The workshop will bring together experts from industry and research to address key challenges and opportunities related to high-pressure hydrogen. The agenda will cover topics such as high-pressure H₂ production methods, compression technologies and typical pressure ranges, and industrial applications where high-pressure hydrogen plays a critical role.
Confirmed speakers include Vanesa Gil Hernandez (HYPRAEL); Paolo Bruttini and Egidio Pucci (HyPowerGT); Jorge Garcia (CEMEX); Arash Nemati (DTU – X-SEED), who will present work on hydrogen production at 200 bar; and Chatzichristodoulou Christodoulos (DTU – HyPrAEM).
The main objectives of the workshop are:
- Build an ecosystem connecting high-pressure hydrogen producers with industrial applications,
- Share recent advances in high-pressure electrolysis,
- Support the deployment of renewable hydrogen by linking innovative production technologies with industrial demand.
The event will run from 9:00 to 16:30. On-site participants will have access to a networking lunch and a guided tour of Snam’s facilities.
